What is Cascade?
Cascade is a browser based HR system developed using Microsoft .net and SQL technology.
Whilst that technology is really exciting, if that's your thing, it's what we can do with it for your user experience that is important day to day
Here at Cascade we have used the technology to translate what our clients tell us we should be doing into exciting, dynamic and pro active HR and Payroll software that is genuinely different. We have created a ‘doing’ system for your entire business.
Now we are past the technology, what is Cascade and what does it do for you?
Well, Cascade is a range of HR and Payroll software modules all developed by Cascade and fully integrated. This means that you have a relationship with one supplier, one support desk and use one system. No need for add ons, multiple contracts or concerns about who is responsible when you need help.
It includes HR, Payroll, Workflow, Learning and Development, Recruitment, Online Recruitment and Timesheets. It also includes Self Serve and whilst most systems can offer this Cascade allows you to provide any functionality from the entire system to any user, whether HR or not, because it is completely browser based rather than two seperate interfaces as is traditional.
It includes key features such as full reporting, organisational charts, organisational explorer, policies and procedures management, authorisation routes, shift management, posts, CV Parsing, Talent pool, Skills matching, attendance, CPD, Screen Designer and a host of other powerful features, all built in. In fact, ‘built in’ is a key theme. Everything you need is included in Cascade, we don’t use third party report writers or bolt on self serve interfaces. No need for plugging in an organisational charting module or someone else’s payroll. Cascade prides itself in its ability to deliver a complete HR and Payroll solution.
We’ve covered technology, features and modules. But what exactly is Cascade?
What is Cascade is probably best summed up with a question. Why? Why do you want a HR system? Why do you want a personnel record? Why do you want to run that report? Why do you want Line Managers to access the system? Why? The question pervades everything we do.
By asking why, we have developed a HR and Payroll system that doesn’t just tick the box with the features you want but goes on to say ‘yes, we do that but once you have done that, I expect you would like to be able to do this…’ I’ll give you an example. Why do you want to write a report? Ok, sometimes it’s just to present management information but more often than not it’s to take action. How often have you asked ‘Show me all the people who have had more than five absences in the last 3 months?’. Now you have the information. What do you want to do with it? Print it, graph it?
More likely you want to take action on the people who match that criteria. That’s what our clients told us so we added the facility to our report writer to take action against the results of any report. With a single click you can choose from a list of actions, including user defined processes, against the results of any report.
That is what Cascade is. We ask why and then we produce features that make sense in the real world because ultimately our job is to make your job easier and more valuable.
