Personnel Software
Personnel software is fast becoming replaced by HR – Human Resources software, as the technology has moved on and evolved, so has the naming conventions. Personnel Departments have been replaced by HR departments and similarly, personnel software has been replaced by HR software.
Avoid personnel software, avoid anything with the name ‘personnel’ it is old-hat, it is probably, old, cheap and poorly supported.
Much of the HR software that was written in the 1990’s is personnel software, some of it has been given a cheap ‘paint job’ and is still being sold today.
On the face of it, it looks great, but it’s like buying a fake watch whilst on holiday – it soon falls apart and doesn’t live up to it’s original expectations.
