Their services are based on a unique combination of customer-driven solutions, high quality products, sophisticated control systems, a well-managed global service center network and advanced logistics capabilities, which enable their customers to reduce the need for capital expenditures and concentrate on their core business competencies.
CHEP manages the daily movements of over 280 million pallets and containers from a global network of over 440 service centers in 44 countries.
Boasting more than 300,000 customers worldwide, CHEP serve global giants such as Procter & Gamble, SYSCO, Carrefour, Kellogg's, ESSO, Shell, Woolworths, Kraft, Nestle, Lion Nathan, The Home Depot, Tesco, Unilever, Hewlett Packard, Ford and GM, 'Handling the World's Most Important Products... Everyday.'
With nearly 3000 employee records to manage CHEP had a requirement to source a dynamic and modern HR management solution which offered pro active and easy to use functionality that could be rolled out across Europe in multiple languages in phase 1 and globally in later phases of the project. After examining older technology systems with grey, tabbed screens and separate self serve systems CHEP quickly identified that Cascade offered a more flexible and beneficial solution.
A key requirement was a need to manage workflow effectively without constant intervention, and cost, from the supplier or a need to rely on CHEP's internal IT resource constantly. This meant avoiding traditional complex and technical flowchart based workflow by selecting Cascade's graphical, icon led workflow system coupled with our unique 'Authorisation Route' system.
Of course, with a project of this magnitude and the long term relationship that is vital to its success people were a key factor in CHEP's decision and Cascade's approach and experience, recognised by CHEP, will be essential to the project's success. Cascade are driven to be open, consultative and flexible and this shines through at pre sales and project levels.
Cascade's award of the CHEP contract contributes to our amazing year in 2007. Having surpassed all expectations Cascade are recruiting more Project staff and investing in yet more functionality to add further benefit for our existing and new clients. Dan Edwards, Cascade's Development Director, said 'It is an exciting time for Cascade. We have succeeded in bringing all of the elements together that are required for both our company and our clients to become hugely successful from a HR point of view and the level of new clients and upgrades we have attracted in 2007 shows this is happening. This has given us great confidence to invest and plan success for the future and myself and my partners, Alan, Heather and Richard, along with all of my colleagues, look forward to welcoming many new clients on board.
