Richards Gray decide to implement Cascade's .NET HR Solution.

Richards Gray carry out 500,000 searches a year for over 4000 major clients and as such are leaders in the field of national property search organisations. Innovation has been at the heart of our growth in recent years and the company developed and owns the ground breaking Know Your Neighbour Report. They also pioneered the concept of search packages for the conveyancing industry, the Richards Gray Conveyancing Pack (RGCP) and have developed an award winning and state of the art online ordering system.

Further expansion has come with the introduction of Home Information Packs (HIPS) and having fully participated in the trials, they are now a leading provider with our integrated and flexible HIP solution. We have in place the resources to provide a complete HIP, both the required and authorised elements, but can readily adapt to include the use of existing local contacts and established commercial relationships.

This growth has been supported by an expanding and developing organisation, facilities and state of the art systems. The company now employs over 250 people, with 80 Agents, based throughout the country, from Newcastle to Penzance. Richards Gray can thus deliver the powerful combination of national standards, real experience and local knowledge to our clients.

With this expansion it was agreed that a state of the art HR application was needed to support this growth. Richards Gray have decided to implement the following modules, HR, Self Service, Workflow and System Designer. A key aim was to implement a solution which gave access to all employees with precise levels of functionality for each individual. One drawback of traditional systems is that the HR system is a separate, and therefore doesn't share all functionality, system to the self service. One advantage Richards Gray have gained with Cascade HR, which is a Microsoft .Net browser based system throughout, is that all functionality can be, if required, delivered to any user in any combination.

Another key requirement was the ability to report on data within the system easily and without the need to refer to IT. Cascade's approach of delivering all functionality through the system and not using third party software applications means that the built in reporting tools are extremely easy to use, browser based and highly flexible. The facility to take action directly from report results by writing, emailing or initiating a process to/for a group returned in the report is essential and unique.
