"Together with the support back at Head Office in order to make adjustments to the system, the customer service I have received at Cascade has been second to none. Nothing is too much trouble which has remained true from the initial visit from Carl Agar-Brennan, to the excellent project management demonstrated by Aileen Cronin to the IT guys Ziaul, Tim and Luke. Thanks so much from me and everyone in APMG – I'll be sure to recommend!"

The Law Society of Scotland is the governing body for Scottish solicitors. It was established by the Legal Aid & Solicitors (Scotland) Act in 1949. The Society promotes the interests of the solicitors' profession in Scotland and the interests of the public in relation to the profession. All practicing solicitors in Scotland must be members of the Society and must hold a current Practicing Certificate which is issued by the Society.
The Society chose to implement the .Net Cascade HR and Payroll solution after examining a wide range of HR and Payroll solutions from suppliers across the market. A core requirement was for a single supplier who could supply both Payroll and HR without the need to use a partnered system for Payroll. Flexibility and ease of use were also paramount as many systems the society examined had features such as Workflow but providers were unable to demonstrate creation of new workflows at a level which allowed non technical staff to build them. Cascade's Workflow allowed HR staff to build their workflows themselves very quickly and easily.
Alan Jones, cascade's Managing Director, was involved in the procurement process. He said "The Law Society of Scotland are a high profile organisation and as such the quality of their staff management is paramount. To this end it was essential that the Society could trust their chosen supplier to implement their system on time and to budget and also support it at the highest level. As Cascade have their own, rather than partnered, systems throughout, including Payroll we could offer a level of support and responsibility that is difficult for companies offering partnered systems to offer."
