National Express East Coast Mainline runs fast, frequent passenger rail services on the flagship East Coast Main Line between London King's Cross, the East Midlands, Yorkshire, the North East of England and Scotland, carrying more than 17.4 million passengers a year. The company started in 1996 and now carries 40% more passengers and runs 23% more trains (124 services every weekday, including 90 award-winning restaurant services).
