Awards celebration aplenty at Cascade HQ

The most important thing to Cascade is satisfied clients. But our team of HR and payroll specialists has nothing to complain about when the company receives industry acclaim too.

In the space of three working days we discovered that we had been shortlisted for prestigious recognition in the pay and benefits sector, and we also watched a client scoop an Occupational Health award for its approach to absence management and a Personnel Today award for Workplace Diversity.

Commenting on the positive news, Cascade’s managing director Alan Jones said:

“Independent awards are a great way to cement our position as an industry leader, and they add an additional level of credence to the product and service promises we are proud to make.”

Having entered the national Pay and Benefits awards only a few weeks ago, Cascade has been announced as one of six organisations shortlisted in the software provider of the year category. Alan highlights:

“We consider ourselves much more than a supplier of technology. We work closely with clients to best understand how we can make operational and strategic differences to UK pay and benefits teams and we have worked hard to foster an ambassadorial stance which our employees embrace wholeheartedly. I believe these factors will have played an integral part of this shortlist success.”

Only days earlier Cascade had watched client Rosie Green, head of HR at Synergy Housing, collect the highly-contested absence management award at the Personnel Today and Occupational Health London ceremony. Rosie saved over £285,000 on absence costs in only 12 months, utilising Cascade HR and the Bradford Factor scoring system as part of her revitalised approach to managing employees’ workplace presence.

Alan continues:

“It was an honour to have played a part in Synergy Housing’s award success and we were delighted to see her and her colleagues collect the well-deserved trophy last week.”

The people charity Reach, another Cascade client, also beat off stiff competition from ITV, Informa and Irwin Mitchell to collect the prestigious Workplace Diversity Award. This recognised the equality they have achieved thanks to a commitment to strong leadership.

Alan concludes:

“I would encourage all clients to consider the value of the work they are doing on a daily basis. Many people underestimate the importance of their ideas, efficiencies and employee interactions, but it may just be possible that they too could be worthy of national industry reward.”
