The CIPD HR Software Show 2015 is fast approaching. The exhibition is a great opportunity for HR Professionals to engage with HR technology providers, attend free learning sessions and access fantastic networking opportunities.

Ahead of the event, we thought we would reflect on some of the excellent seminars that have been presented by our clients in previous years.

In this feature we will look back at the presentation given by Everton Football Club.

At the CIPD HR Software Show in 2014, Clare Archibald, HR Manager and Rachael Jones, HR Officer spoke openly about their transition from using restrictive Excel spreadsheets, to embracing the latest technological functionality, supplied by Cascade HR.


Everton Football Club is not just a renowned Premier League team – it is also a successful multi-dimensional organisation comprising many more members than those that are seen playing on the pitch week in week out. The 330-strong permanent workforce is regularly joined by up to 1200 casual employees and volunteers.

As an increasingly diverse organisation with a 24/7 operation, Everton Football Club has to have incredibly smart business processes and management systems in place. Not least within the HR department.

The organisation’s technology challenge was therefore to find an intelligent and proactive resource that would act as another knowledgeable member of the HR team and help improve efficiencies. Selection of the right system was sure to open up a raft of opportunities for the entire company.

In the presentation, both Claire and Rachael talked eloquently about the structure of the company, the implementation process, and of course the successful outcome of using Cascade’s HR Software.
