(Maureen Legge – Head of HR, Myscience.co Limited) The Workflow module has enabled a whole load of processes to be taken away from human resources, for example the latest workflow we’ve done has been all about the performance management process and objective setting the process. It has cut down paper, time, staff, personal information being sent across by email. And generally the process has flowed extremely well. Having done this for the first time this year, the actual feedback that we’re getting back from staff has been extremely positive about it
Also with the workflows, things like new starters, leavers, people going on maternity, it enables you to get the right information at the right time across the organisation. For example the IT department know when to expect a new member of staff starting, so they’ve got all the kit ready, there again a maternity person is coming back from maternity, IT know to have their kit ready for when they come back in the door. So all of these items can be managed by workflow. It cuts down paperwork, it cuts down emails, it cuts down telephone traffic.
